The Farewell

Tomorrow was an important ceremony, so I went to bed early. But at midnight, I vaguely heard a crisp metallic clinking sound, and then two sets of footsteps, one after another. When I woke up in the morning, my doorstep was surrounded by people, and there were five corpses on the ground. After discovering the truth, I sent them to where they belonged.
