Renovation Noise

For several months, the constant renovation noise kept me from sleeping, making me feel disoriented and like someone was watching me. Yesterday, it finally stopped, which was great. Today, I met a friend to celebrate and got drunk. My friend, half-drunk, walked me home. The elevator was broken, so we climbed the stairs and finally reached my apartment. I said, 'Hmm, something feels off about my place?' My friend replied, 'You're just drunk, don't worry. Lock the door securely. I'm heading back now.' The next day, my friend discovered I was missing.
